Learn to Ice Skate & Figure Skating Lesson Information
Lessons take place on *Sundays, normally fortnightly during the school term.

To reduce risk of injuries and delays, skaters should arrive at least 20 minutes before the start of the session to warm up and allow time to get changed.

Unless there are extenuating circumstances, coaches require 24hrs cancellation notice by phoning the Coach directly. If the coach is not informed of a cancellation, scheduled lessons will be charged for
Please note: Some of our Poster advertising in the community states lessons are all 1 hour long for group lessons but due to a scheduling change some lessons are now 45 minutes. We apologise for any confusion this may have caused.

WFS1 - Beginner Figure Skating (ages 7-12)
*Please note: Beginners aged 13-17 should join WFS 2*
Suitable for those who are new to skating, wish to learn basic skills and are not yet proficient in forward cross-overs or able to comfortably skate backwards. skating Learn the basics such as balance, understanding edges, stop, turn and how to fall (safely). Main coach: Abby
WFS3 - Intermediate / Advanced
WFS3 - INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCED FIGURE SKATING (ages - Mixed)
Maximum 10 skaters in the group. Suitable both for those able to use edges and who are comfortable turning from forward to backward and retaining speed, as well as those able to do both forward and backward cross-overs, basic steps, inside/outside three turns and free skating elements (single jumps, spins). WFS4 - Beginner Figure Skating for Adults (19 - up)
WFS4 - ADULT BEGINNER FIGURE SKATING & ADULT ELEMENTARY / NOVICE (ages 18+)
Adult Beginner: Suitable for those who are new to skating, wish to learn basic skills and are not yet proficient in forward cross-overs or able to comfortably skate backwards. skating Learn the basics such as balance, understanding edges, stop, turn and how to fall (safely).
Adult Elementary / Novice: Suitable for Adults with some prior experience and with some confidence on the ice and have mastered the basics. All skaters in this class should now all be wearing figure skates.

Synchronised skating (ages 10-18)
Synchronized Skating Class is not running at the moment but we look to start this sometime in the new year. Elements of Synchronised skating will be taught at the Intermediate and Advanced classes.
